Hubbard Radio Enters a New Era with 'Media That Connects'

New brand identity reflects company’s evolution across radio, digital and podcasting

Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN – June 1, 2026 – Hubbard Radio Chief Executive Officer Ginny Hubbard today announced during a companywide Town Hall meeting that Hubbard Radio will be rebranded as Hubbard – Media That Connects.

The updated brand identity reflects the continued evolution of Hubbard’s 103-year legacy of connecting consumers and advertisers to build better businesses and communities. What began with a single AM radio station in 1923 has grown into a diversified media company that today includes 50 radio stations across 12 markets, national digital marketing agency 2060 Digital, and Gamut Podcast Network — recently recognized as one of the Top 10 podcast networks in America.

While radio remains a foundational part of the company’s business and identity, this new Hubbard brand better reflects how audiences and advertisers engage with media today — across broadcast, streaming, podcasting, digital platforms and on-demand content.
“With today’s announcement we acknowledge the deliberate but gradual evolution of how we fulfill our mission of connecting with communities and helping advertisers grow their businesses,” commented Ginny Hubbard. “For over 100 years now we have connected with local audiences to make the communities we serve and their businesses stronger.”

Today, Hubbard reaches more than 12.5 million consumers each week through its three primary business divisions — Hubbard Radio, 2060 Digital and Gamut Podcast Network. Across every platform, Hubbard delivers local connection, trusted content, meaningful audience engagement and marketing solutions designed to help businesses grow.

Hubbard continued, "This repositioning doesn't speak to or prioritize any of our businesses over one another. We are not radio, podcast or digital first. At Hubbard we are listener and customer first regardless of how they engage with our content or which medium or platform best meets the needs of our clients. We connect with communities and audiences with compelling talent, news, information and entertainment on multiple platforms and connect those audiences with our marketing partners. We also connect our marketing partners with digital advertising strategies to help them to grow their businesses."

101.9 The Mix / WTMX Chicago—MIX staff and listeners joined Friends of the Chicago River this past Saturday for the annual Chicago River Day, volunteering at LaBagh Woods to support local habitat restoration efforts ahead of summer.

The event was part of a month-long campaign led by Morning MIX hosts Chris Petlak, Nikki Chuminatto, and Brian “Whip” Paruch, alongside Casey McCabe from The Afternoon Mix, inviting listeners to participate in community-focused environmental stewardship by removing litter and invasive plant species along the Chicago River.

“Our partnership with The Mix is essential to the continued success and growth of Chicago River Day,” said

Margaret Frisbie, executive director of Friends of the Chicago River. “With support from The Mix, this year’s 34th Annual Chicago River Day engaged more than 2,700 volunteers at 88 sites across the Chicago-Calumet River system, making it one of the largest Chicago River Day events in our history. Together, we mobilized communities across the region to remove litter, restore habitat, and take meaningful action for a cleaner, healthier river system."

“We’re honored to support an initiative that highlights the positive impact local radio can have,” said Chris Eagan, Vice President of Brand and Content at 101.9 The Mix and Throwback 100.3. “When our team and listeners rally around an important cause, it creates a powerful connection that benefits the entire community.
