As of this past weekend’s One Last Tri in White Bear Lake and 70.3 Michigan in, well, Michigan, Minnesota’s 2026 multisport season has come to a close. This means that the 2026 Minnesota Multisport Honors (MMH) season is just beginning! This year’s committee – the two individuals responsible for debating nominees, winners, and Team Minnesota – will be comprised of myself, Rocky the Flying Squirrel, and my companion Bullwinkle the Moose. Micah Warning and Spencer Syvertson concluded their 2026 tri season in the rainy Lower Peninsula at Michigan 70.3 this morning. Micah placed 3rd in 3:55:39 (Full 70.3?) and Spencer 9th (4:09:49). We are anxious to share their race reports. Stay tuned.

Ironman 70.3 Wisconsin – 2026 recap for the overall women’s win.

Madison is my favorite city to race in. Monona Terrace is an amazing venue. And the capital backdrop from the finish line is iconic.

Swim: My husband had a lot of words for me before the swim about how I should “actually try”. It is not that I don’t try, but more like I lose focus. The voices in my head during the swim say “do do do do do do”, like a 3 year old. So on Saturday I tried to find feet and use the draft. 26th Edition Square Lake Short Course Coverage - Last Sunday, fifty-four-year-old transplanted Frenchman, Emmanuael Darne, inserted himself into the 2026 Master of the Year discussion with a big win at Square Lake. His monster bike split, one that proved to be 4:37 faster over the rolling 18.5 mile route than the next fastet rider, is what delived him to the finish line 1:10 in from of perennial Square Lake podium finisher Steve Stenzel, whose signature quick run was what narrowed the gap between himself and Darne. Minnesota's women rocked 1st, 2nd and 11th yesterday at Madison 70.3. Today at Ironman Wisconsin, it was our state's men who kicked ass. NATHAN KIM's IM debut produced a win this afternoon in a time of 8:43:00, a 3:06 margin of victory over former pro Pedro Gomes. In 6th place overall was Tevin Neegaard, who turned in a time of 9:16:56.

LAKES COUNTRY TRIATHLON Race Report - Season finale. One last triathlon to give everything I had left.
Splits:
1/4 Mile Swim: 7:19
14 Mile Bike: 37:48
5K Run: 19:11
Finish: 1:05:51 - 3rd Overall, 2nd Age Group
It turned out to be a great morning for racing. Cloudy skies, cooler temps, and just a little rain before the start.
The men were split into two waves, 39 and under followed by 40+. I was in the first wave with Spencer (Syvertson), who was definitely the favorite, and Jeron (Hall) , who I knew would be tough competition. In the second wave were two guys I knew I needed to keep an eye on for the overall podium, David (Lewis) and Andrew (Moen). READ MORE - https://minnesotatrinews.com
