The Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations (AMPERS) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. That’s because AMPERS is a collection of 17 independent com

munity radio stations across our great state. From the North Shore of Lake Superior to the city streets of Minneapolis. From the Blue Earth River near Mankato to the natural beauty of Grand Rapids, we’ve got Minnesota covered. To help keep our channels a safe and respectful space, we ask that all comments remain relevant to the topic at hand and that participants treat one another with courtesy, even when opinions differ. AMPERS reserves the right to hide, remove, or report any posts, replies, or comments that include:

â—Ź Racist, hateful, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, slanderous, insulting, or threatening
language.
â—Ź Content that is obscene, sexually explicit, or incites violence.
â—Ź Spam, self-promotion, or product/brand advertising.
â—Ź Promotion or opposition of any political party, candidate, or ballot measure.
â—Ź Harassment, personal attacks, or targeted intimidation.
â—Ź Unintelligible or irrelevant content, including unrelated links.
â—Ź Any other content that AMPERS staff considers off-topic, offensive, or abusive. We also reserve the right to block or report users who repeatedly post inappropriate content. Our goal is to maintain an environment where diverse voices can be heard and meaningful conversations can happen.

Happy Give to the Max Day, Minnesota! From local government coverage to education, health, safety, and local music, community radio stations give voice to our communities. Your gift, at any level, directly sustains AMPERS stations in the midst of the federal defunding of public broadcasting. Help keep community on the dial - for all Minnesotans. A recent donor to AMPERS' state-wide fundraiser told us, "I live in Southeast Minnesota and listen to KQAL. I travel around up north and listen to KAXE and WTIP, too. I figured community radio is probably struggling right now. I'm thinking about my end-of-year contributions from my IRA, and I figured it would be nice and easy to support the community radio stations with one donation."

You, too, can help keep community radio on the dial.

A recent donor to AMPERS' state-wide fundraiser told us, "I'd rather hear from you about a station that is struggling and be able to donate some more rather than hearing news from you about a station going out of business."

You can also help keep community radio on the dial.

You can help keep community radio on the dial.

Required to take funds out of your retirement account and looking to make a contribution to a wonderful organization?

A recent donor sent AMPERS a very generous contribution after letting us know, "I have discovered that I have an amount of money in my IRA that I need to take out as part of my Required Minimum Distribution this year. I would like to donate it to AMPERS to help your network of stations with their funding problems."

You can help keep community radio on the dial - and help to keep Minnesotans safe.

Let us reintroduce ourselves! AMPERS is an association of 17 independent community radio stations in Minnesota. Each station is locally run by and for the local communities they serve. Four stations are affiliated with tribal nations, and six stations are licensed to educational institutions. Our stations carry programming in 11 different languages!

Recent cuts to federal funding threaten some stations' ability to do work.

Let us reintroduce ourselves! AMPERS is an association of 17 independent community radio stations in Minnesota with over 300,000 listeners.

We support member stations through revenue generation, training, and member convenings.

We also produce original news, arts, and culture programming that aims to correct narratives about historically underrepresented communities.

But recent cuts to federal funding threaten some stations' ability to do this work.

You can help. Keep community radio on the dial - and help to keep Minnesotans safe. đź”— Give generously at: ampers.org/fund

When storms hit, the power is out, and information is needed most, local community radio is on the frontlines. Station staff and volunteers air emergency officials’ updates at all hours of the day or night, responding in real-time to evacuations, forest fires, 911 outages, and other crises every year.

‼️ But recent cuts to federal funding threaten some stations' ability to do this life-saving work.

You can help. Keep community radio on the dial - and help to keep Minnesotans safe. đź”— Give generously at: ampers.org/fund
