AMPERS We are the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations. We also produce news, arts and culture programming for & by underrepresented voices.

We support 17 member community radio stations through revenue generation, training, and gatherings. Diverse radio for Minnesota's communities
📻
Our stations know Minnesota. In a local, connected way. That’s because AMPERS is a collection of 17 independent community radio stations across our great state. From the North Shore of Lake Superior to the city streets of Minneapolis. From the Blue Earth

River near Mankato to the natural beauty of Grand Rapids, we’ve got Minnesota covered. To help keep our channels a safe and respectful space, we ask that all comments remain relevant to the topic at hand and that participants treat one another with courtesy, even when opinions differ. AMPERS reserves the right to hide, remove, or report any posts, replies, or comments that include:

● Racist, hateful, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, slanderous, insulting, or threatening
language.
● Content that is obscene, sexually explicit, or incites violence.
● Spam, self-promotion, or product/brand advertising.
● Promotion or opposition of any political party, candidate, or ballot measure.
● Harassment, personal attacks, or targeted intimidation.
● Unintelligible or irrelevant content, including unrelated links.
● Any other content that AMPERS staff considers off-topic, offensive, or abusive. We also reserve the right to block or report users who repeatedly post inappropriate content. Our goal is to maintain an environment where diverse voices can be heard and meaningful conversations can happen.

Though the national 988 “press 3” line supporting LGBTQ+ youth and young adults was shut down, the 988 Minnesota Lifeline is still here with staff trained to support everyone, including Minnesota’s LGBTQIA2S+ community. If you or someone you know needs help, reach out to connect with a skilled, caring, culturally competent 988 Minnesota Lifeline specialist. Call or chat 988, or chat at 988lifeline.org. You're not alone.

Did you miss us at the State Fair? Don't worry, you can still help our fundraiser to support AMPERS' 17 stations and our original programming: ampers.org/fund

Community radio has always been lean and powered by the goodwill of small staff teams and many volunteers. Together, stations serve hundreds of thousands of people statewide with local information, emergency alerts, music and more.

Due to federal funding cuts, some of Minnesota's local stations will lose up to 50% of their funding by October 1. Take action now to keep community on the dial: ampers.org/fund

Independent, trusted information keeps local communities connected, breaks down stereotypes, and roots us all in shared facts.

At AMPERS, we believe that local perspectives are essential to a healthy information ecosystem that serves all Minnesotans. That's why we work to strengthen Minnesota's 17 local community radio stations.

Community radio is uniquely local and community-focused. It can amplify voices authentically, provide critical local safety alerts, showcase local arts and culture, and much more.

Local connection is too important to lose. Keep community radio on the dial with a donation today: ampers.org/fund
