South Dakota will always hold a special spot in my heart. Even though we didnā€™t do too well, we all still caught fish and enjoyed every moment of it.

Maxed out at 24mph solo in the little 14ft Jon Boat with a 9.9 4 Stroke, 2 100ah Lithium Batteries, Minnkota Terrova up front, majority of my gear.

I want faster, I want bigger, I want more stabilityā€¦ but I canā€™t complaint with what Iā€™ve already got. It does almost everything a bigger boat does and I catch fish. šŸ’ŖšŸ’ŖšŸ‘Œ

Itā€™s hard making this postā€¦. šŸ˜­šŸ˜­

But as some of you may know and some may notā€¦ April 2025 I visited my parents and fished a dam and made a terribly dumb mistake on my part that ended up with my truck getting totaled. Water was shallow until I hit a 3-4ft dip and truck instantly died when the engine sucked in water resulting in my beloved truck drowning to death until it was towed out. I lost my truck, along with a few other things but glad that we are alive and able to wake up every single day. It really took a toll on me when this happened, I was suffering mentally and I wanted to just quit everything. If it wasnā€™t for my wife I wouldnā€™t be fishing. I was able to lift myself back up slowly and get back to normal. Iā€™ve been able to find a vehicle since, but it hasnā€™t been the same without my beloved truck. YouTube videos has been put to a pause, but I do have a bit of recordings after the fact that I can make videos. Iā€™ll be slowly getting back into it again and hope that I can push more content out soon.

Sometimes there are things in life that are not meant to be, and this may or may not have been one of those moments. God was with me this day and kept us safe regardless of the situation. Tears and sweat dripping down my face, but I still managed to get back up and keep going. Weā€™re all strong regardless of what we do and the challenges we face daily. As long as you put your best foot forward, youā€™ll get to where you aim to be.

With a major set back and a hard reset in life. Iā€™m ready to get back out there and make a difference.

We had a quest this past weekend and we made it happen. I donā€™t need a lot of fish and didnā€™t bring a giant cooler. We managed to fill a medium sized cooler and that was enough for us.

All of these fish ranged from 4lbs to 7lbs in weight.

All in all we had a lot of fun. Iā€™ll be back for more!!

As we close out our weekend adventures, I am truly thankful for the weather and extremely thankful for my wife for allowing me to go on these adventures. What a great weekend it was! Weather was hot and humid, but we made the best of it and conquered the lake with the little boat!
It sure was a grind and it was hard to find a pattern that the fish liked.

Biggest of the trip was a 7lber! Still doesnā€™t beat my PB when I lived in Oklahoma but it sure is fun!
If youā€™ve never fished for Hybrids/Wipers you need to give it a try! One of the hardest fighting freshwater fish and they are good eating as well!!

Megabass Sleeper Craw was working out on the Big Pond! Slow dragging through the rocks enticed the smallies to come hit it. Glass calm morning, but the cold front still shut them off. It was still a great day of fishing nonetheless.

The VMC Marabou Jig works for these finicky Mille Lacs Small Mouth! My first time testing it out and first cast with it tied on I was able to get my 1st fish of the morning! What a fun bite!!

I didnā€™t catch anything very big, but I still had a lot of fun!

Bonus 24ā€ Walleye on the Sleeper Craw too!! She choked the Sleeper Craw!
