It’s been really hard to do anything lately, hard to find joy, hard to focus — when the state of MY state is being terrorized. When my neighbors and community are being targeted simply for existing.

I put together this info slide as a reminder and for anyone who might need it right now. These are things that have been helpful for me to remember, and I hope they can offer some guidance, comfort, or clarity to others too.

Please stay safe. Stay informed. Check in on your people. Take care of yourself and your loved ones in whatever ways you can.

Community is how we survive this.
And we are not going anywhere.

✨ Season 3 Finale is here!

I’m closing out this season with so much gratitude. Every guest — from Ninaco to Catherine, Kaolee, Naree, Modern Hmong Girl, Dr. Pa Vue, and Bo Thao-Urabe — poured so much wisdom and heart into these conversations.

A message I kept hearing again and again was:

✨ If something has been on your heart… just start.

This season reminded me how strong, brilliant, and inspiring Hmong women continue to be. I’m grateful I get to learn from each of them — and share that with all of you.

As 2025 comes to an end, I hope you find peace, clarity, softness, and open doors in the new year. 💛

Season 4 comes in 2026. I’ll be resting, reflecting, and dreaming about what stories we’ll tell next.

🎧 Listen to the finale on YouTube and wherever you listen to podcasts!

Thank you for thriving with me. ✨

Thinking of the Hmong language as a relative… 👀💭
What a powerful and refreshing way to reimagine our relationship with our words, our stories, and our identity. 🗣️🌿

This conversation completely shifted the way I see the Hmong language — not as something to master, but as someone to care for, nurture, and reconnect with.

I had the absolute honor of sitting down with *Dr. Pa Vue* — an educator, researcher, and storyteller whose work around Hmong language, identity, and cultural reclamation is transforming our community in the most beautiful ways. 🌿

We talked about the power of language, the stories that shape us, and what it means to reclaim our cultural roots as Hmong womxn navigating identity and empowerment. Her wisdom is grounding, gentle, and so full of heart.

If you’re someone who’s been reconnecting with your language, exploring identity, or simply wanting to feel inspired by a brilliant Hmong woman, this episode is for you.

✨ What an incredible moment in history ✨

Saint Paul has officially elected its first Asian and Hmong woman as Mayor — Mayor Her! 💛

As we reflect on October marking 50 years since the Hmong people first arrived in Minnesota, this milestone feels profoundly full circle. From our community’s early days of finding belonging and building roots, to now witnessing a Hmong woman leading the capital city of Minnesota, this is nothing short of extraordinary. 🌿

This victory is not just political, it’s deeply personal for so many of us. It’s a testament to the strength, resilience, and brilliance of Hmong women who continue to pave new paths and inspire generations to come.

Congratulations, Mayor Her 🕊️

Your leadership represents hope, courage, and the thriving spirit of our people.

St. Paul has elected its first ever Hmong mayor and its first ever woman to lead the city.

Rep. Kaohly Her won Tuesday’s election over incumbent Mayor Melvin Carter after a tabulation of second choice votes.

Her victory makes not only history for the St. Paul mayor’s office, but also makes the entire leadership of the city — which also has a city council made up of all women.

She beat out Carter and three other challengers — Yan Chen, Adam Dullinger and Mike Hilborn.
