Congratulations to our outstanding apprentices! 👏 These dedicated individuals just completed the Third-Year Apprenticeship Program at the UBC International Training Center, a three-day program designed for third-year apprentices who show exceptional promise as both carpenters and leaders.

This experience helps them grow their leadership skills, understand their impact on productivity, safety, and professionalism, and strengthen the partnership between the UBC and its contractors. The future of the trade is in great hands. 💪

Roofing company committed wage theft, tax evasion and insurance fraud in St. Paul public housing project. Workers told the Carpenters Union they were not being paid the wages outlined in the project’s contract.

“This case is significant because it highlights the widespread harm caused by the fraudulent misclassification of workers in the construction industry,” said Burt Johnson, General Counsel for NCSRCC. “It impacts not only the workers who were denied their rightful wages, but also the law-abiding contractors who lost a fair opportunity to compete, and the taxpayers who were deprived of critical public revenue. The Carpenters Union commends County Attorney Choi, his team, and the collaborating law enforcement agencies for their thorough investigation and for bringing charges in this important and far-reaching case.”
