Yes—the Baconator 9000 (or some variation of it) is that countertop contraption that promises hands-free, vertical bacon cooking like a toaster, complete with grease gutters and smoke alarms ready to party. It sounds like a miracle… until you realize it:

warps bacon into shriveled leather strips

makes your kitchen smell like a campfire gone wrong

and is nearly impossible to clean without regret and tongs

This might be fun to sell at a winter porch market.
