On Saturday, June 14th, many who were touched by Maurice Syke's presence and work will come together to honor his extraordinary legacy at a memorial in his name.

Maurice was a beloved Redleaf Press author and a true giant in early childhood education. He was a fierce advocate for the mental health of educators and caregivers, and he fought tirelessly for equity—working to ensure that every child, no matter their background, had access to quality early learning opportunities.
