As a chilled rain fell from the sky, the St. Peter girls soccer team took to the pitch in New Prague to face off against familiar foe Mankato East in the Section 2AA Championship match. While it never got cold enough to turn the rain into snow, there was a flurry of scoring from the Cougars Tuesday night, as they jumped out to a 4-0 lead, ultimately defeating the Saints 7-1 and ending an incredible season for the team.

With postseason play finally underway, the St. Peter girls soccer team was in good form Tuesday night as they hosted the Worthington Trojans. The Saints, the No. 2 seed in the section 2AA Tournament, scored early and often as they took a 5-0 lead into halftime, adding a sixth and final goal in the second half to claim a 6-0 shutout victory.
