On a day where personal bests fell in almost every race, the St. Peter boys track and field team would put together a seriously impressive afternoon in the Section 2AA Track and Field meet, claiming fourth place overall with a team score of 78. The Saints qualified for state in three total events with Parker Maloney qualifying for shot put and discus while Brock Guth qualified for the pole vault as he broke a 37 year old school record.

The St. Peter girls track and field team has been collecting hardware and smashing records since the first outing of the spring, and Friday afternoon, they brought home another trophy as they claimed the Section 2AA Championship at Gustavus Adolphus College. The Saints finished the meet with 200 points, 32 more than the second place Mankato West Scarlets, claiming their first section title as a team since 2011 while qualifying for a school record 16 events at the MSHSL State Tournament.

The St. Peter Saints girls' track and field team added some more hardware to the collection this afternoon by winning the Section 2AA Title with 200 points, 32 more than second-place Mankato West. Congratulations to all the Saints track and field athletes and for those that qualified, best of luck at state. Full story to come.

After tying the Elimination Bracket championship game with Jordan 1-1 in the sixth inning, the Saints drew a leadoff walk in the seventh to setup a walk off homerun from Courtlynn Spessard that propelled St. Peter to the Section 2AAA Championship.

The Section 2AA Boys Golf Tournament is annually one of the most high level section tournaments in the state with Southwest Christian and Holey Family battling for state titles every season, but the St. Peter Saints always aim to crash that party and earn their time and opportunity in the spotlight. Tuesday morning saw the Saints put together their best showing in a round at sections and find themselves in second place with a score of 298 (+10), trailing Southwest Christian by just six strokes heading into the finals.

Thursday evening, the St. Peter softball team got the postseason started and the No. 2 seed in the Section 2AAA and defeated Albert Lea 10-0 before defeating Mankato West 3-2 to advance to the section semifinal game.
