I haven't posted here in a while, but I ran across this poem I had written a few months ago. This one is more for us bigger kiddos than the little ones, but I hope you like it 😊:
I wish you joy, I wish you cheer.
I wish you peace throughout the year.
I wish you smiles when you are blue.
I wish you dreams that do come true.
I wish you sun with little rain,
and the strength to endure when you’re feeling pain.
I hope you’re treated kindly and with respect.
I hope you find the one with whom you connect.
I wish you courage when you don’t feel so tough,
and that you always know you’re exactly “enough”.
I wish you the grace to forgive the past.
And that you give unto others more than you are asked.
I wish you the wisdom to do what’s right.
That you don’t give up without a fight.
Take chances, take breaks, take your time and take heart.
And exactly when you need it, I hope you plan that fresh start.
I wish you prosperity, and so much success.
And when it comes right down to it, I hope you feel more than blessed.
I hope you consider yourself a guaranteed bet.
That you make every leap without a single regret.
I wish you great comfort in times of strife.
And that you truly LIVE all the days of your life.
I hope you savor the sunsets and soak up blue skies
Never take things for granted - always see with new eyes.
Feel deeply, feel happy, feel alive and feel free.
and always remember persistence is key.
When the first step seems scary, just simply begin.
And keep with you the happiness that comes from within.
I wish you many great miracles from heaven above
… and most of all, I wish you LOVE.
