"Suncoast Scene" was launched on September 16, 2011, and is hosted by Pattye L. The show was developed to inform our community about the programs and services of various civic, social service and faith communities in Tampa Bay.

Suncoast Hospice will have an interviewing event on Tues., Oct. 2nd from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at 5771 Roosevelt Blvd. Suite 200, Clearwater 33760. This event is for Evening & Weekend Registered Nurses ONLY. Candidates must be available to work Saturday & Sunday from 8 a.m-8 p.m. at minimum. There are several part-time & full-time positions available, mainly in the central part of the county. Positions are posted on the website: www.suncoasthospice.org

Sat., Oct. 6th, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.: The Cosmetology Students of Re*****on College will provide a day of beauty for cancer survivors. Survivors will be able to receive free hairstyling, manicures, haircuts, and makeup application. Survivors who have some affiliation to Moffitt Cancer Center, either as a volunteer or patient are invited. Fri., Oct. 19th, 2-4 p.m.: The Committee to Improve Cultural Awareness (CICA) of Suncoast Hospice invites you to attend its 4th Annual Flavors of Culture Festival, "Music: The Universal Language," @ the Suncoast Hospice St. Petersburg Community Service Center, 3050 ~ 1st Ave. S., St. Petersburg. Dress in your favorite attire from the 50's, 60's or 70's & & enjoy musical entertainment featuring music of those eras, desserts & a fashion show starring Suncoast Hospice employees. Please join us tomorrow on "Suncoast Scene," where our guest for the first segment will be Trenia Cox, Program Development & Support Faith-based Coordinator for the JWB Children's Services Council of Pinellas County. She'll be discussing coalition building to promote school readiness and school success, a call for mentors, reading pals and the need for the faith-based community to become learning centers and safe havens for our youth.

In the second segment, we'll be talking with Dr. Nichelle Threadgill, Pediatrician, and Sandra Beckert, RN/Center Manager of the Johnnie Ruth Clarke Health Center, about the wonderful medical and social services they provide to our community.

Please join Suncoast Hospice's Committee to Improve Cultural Awareness (CICA) for the 4th Annual Flavors of Culture Festival. This year’s theme is “Music: The Universal Language,” and we’ll be celebrating the healing force of music through the decades of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Feel free to dress in attire from those eras & join us for desserts, musical entertainment (it’s rumored that Sam Cooke, Patsy Kline & Etta James will be making appearances), games, and a fashion show starring employee models from Suncoast Hospice. Hope to see you there!
