Reflecting on the weekend and looking forward to the upcoming work week, one thing I keep thinking about is how much real estate is changing.

Thereโ€™s so much emphasis now on how you present yourself online. Social media is a large part of the business now. I understand why, but I worry weโ€™ve gotten a little too good at showcasing our lives instead of actually living them. I personally don't care to spend my time trying to make myself look interesting on the internet.

Iโ€™d prefer a cup of coffee and an actual conversation rather than making editing a 30-second video pretending real estate is always fun.

Apparently I forgot to post about another closing. Remembering to be a social media influencer is the part of real estate Iโ€™m really struggling with.

This one was definitely a transaction that tested everyoneโ€™s patience, problem-solving skills. Despite all the twists, turns, and โ€œare we actually going to make it to closing?โ€ moments, we finally got there.

Iโ€™ll take being better at navigating a difficult transaction, fighting to get things across the finish line, and taking care of my clients over being good at remembering to post about it on Facebook. Iโ€™m not an influencer. Iโ€™m a real estate agent. And apparently, Iโ€™m much better at the latter.
