Through the advice of legal counsel, the Cherokee Village Suburban Improvement District will not be making comments on the recent lawsuits filed in court by Mark Kronkosky.

The first suit against CV Mayor Steven Rose where a judge ruled the mayor will have needed to make the appointment of a special administrator to oversee CVSID until they are in compliance with all legal requirements.

The second ongoing litigation regards a suit filed on Nov. 14 where Kronkosky is asking for a bench trial in the matter of levies collected by Fulton and Sharp Counties through CVSID for $5,013,312.59 for the years of 2023-2025 and how those levies were allegedly assessed illegally and is asking for a refund of all those funds collected.

CVSID Chairman Tony Stallsmith was absent from the regular CVSID meeting in Monday, Dec. 15 and vice chair David Nebel read the statement of no comment regarding these matters.

Please keep an eye on your people and the pets tonight, Arkansas.

With air temperatures dipping into the 20’s and winds gusting 20 to 30+ MPH, there will be a significant wind chill factor.

Values in the single digits and teens.

Those without suitable shelter and pets left outdoors will be at great risk overnight and into Monday morning.

This wild swing in conditions will certainly throw us for a loop.

Please be safe and stay warm!
