Day 9: Melbourne High School 💙
I love seeing positive messages on school walls because students walk past them every single day. These words slowly become part of their mindset—reminders to be kind, do the right thing, and believe in themselves.
When schools fill their hallways with uplifting messages like these, they’re planting seeds of confidence and character in every student who walks by. 🌟✨

Day 8 at Melbourne HS — Bell ringers are such an important way to start a strong literacy class! ✍️

During high-impact tutoring, my 7th–9th graders write for the first five minutes using tips from narrative, expository, and argumentative writing — and I’m already seeing growth in their writing stamina and style! Proud of these students!💕

Day 7 at Melbourne High School — I visited Ms. Bailey’s literacy class and shared CER (Claim, Evidence, Reason) strategies for argumentative writing.
Students were reminded that evidence comes from the text and reasoning comes from their own thinking.

Day 7 at Melbourne High School — I visited Ms. Bailey’s literacy classroom today and shared a few quick strategies for strengthening argumentative writing. We talked about CER: Claim, Evidence, Reason, and I reminded students that:

📘 Evidence comes from the text (their book or passage)
🧠 Reasoning comes from their own thinking

It was a great discussion, and I loved seeing their confidence grow as they practiced connecting the evidence to their reasoning. Proud of these kids and the work happening in this classroom! 🙌💙

Have you heard about the new U.S. visa update starting this December? 🇺🇸🤔

Beginning December 26, the U.S. will officially use facial recognition technology for non-citizens during both arrival and departure. This biometric system is designed to improve security, speed up processing, and verify traveler identity more accurately.

✈️ Who is affected?
All non-U.S. citizens entering or exiting the country.

📸 What does it mean?
Your face will be scanned at immigration checkpoints to match your travel documents.

🛂 Why the change?
To streamline border control, reduce identity fraud, and support faster processing.

If you are traveling soon—or if you’re an international teacher, student, worker, or visitor—be sure to stay updated and prepare for this smoother but more high-tech process.

Have you ever seen how one simple game can bring people together across cultures? 🀄💕
Mahjong Game #34 was special—played by a Pinay and three local Arkansas friends who learned the game from her. Moments like these remind us that connection, laughter, and friendship need no language.
