Fishing with Zory and recording a podcast was such an amazing day. We saw some sights that people who live nearby will go their entire lives with out even knowing they exist! You should check out that episode, then book a trip with him to see some skinny water salmon/steelhead action!

A couple thousand years ago, that same God who created our beautiful world as a pristine habitat for us humans sent his Son to live as a man, taking on the full human experience. The infinitely powerful Word of God wrapped in flesh came in the most humble package you could imagine: a drooling baby boy. This cosmic event with eternal ramifications didn’t need the announcement of trumpets, or thunder, or earthquakes… just the crying of a tiny person and the simple worship of man and angels.
Just so you know, this is the same God who you catch glimpses of when you spend your time in our last remaining wild places. As hunters and fishermen, we get a better view of Him than the rest of the population.
So we give presents to our loved ones to remember the greatest gift in history. We put stars on top of our trees to bring our minds back to that day not long ago when Jesus was born.
