Today, Saturday July 26, 2-4pm on Americana Alley - KMUZ 100.7fm / 88.5fm and KMUZ Media, we have a
MINI FOLK FESTIVAL Live on Air with Avery Hill, Jaspar Lepak, and the Reverend Freakchild. All Three are passing through Salem, and we'll interview them all and share some live performances.
Avery and Jaspar will appear together as they are joining forces for a western swing. Both have amazing voices and thoughtful songwriting, and both have new records out last year. Avery's is deeply personal, and Jaspar's seeks understanding from the broader universe as they traverse what we call life in America...
The Reverend Freakchild is a pure bluesman and songwriter who mixes acoustic solo covers of classic blues with full band infused romps complete with his unique singing style and brand new takes on songs like Stevie Wonder's "Chevrolet" and Bobby Gentry's "Ode to Billy Joe" He's been around a long time and covered many styles of folk and blues over the years.
Live and Kickin' only on your community radio station KMUZ Media 88.5/100.7fm and streaming on the App and KMUZ.org.
