I finally feel recovered enough from my kidney failure to work on the new episode, and my vocal cords have finally healed enough for me to record. Life update: I’ve been hospitalized with extreme kidney failure, which was caused by major dehydration after a regular stomach bug. I have really bad, tiny veins, and after all my ivs blew out last night, I just had a procedure to put a picc line in. Now that I have the picc line, I should be able to recover and leave next week. I lost my voice from vomiting, and the doctor said it should return in a couple of weeks. And everything is looking hopeful. As tomorrow is my birthday, one thing I can say is this is the most unique one I’ve had yet!

This is my dog, Delia Deetz, when she was still a pup, named after Catherine O’Hara’s character in Beetlejuice. I’ve loved that character since childhood, and is just indicative of what a standout she was in everything. As my brother said to me, “she was basically my favorite element of every movie she was ever in.” With all the unspeakable horror happening right now in this country, losing someone who has made us laugh since our childhoods is a tough blow. This one is hitting me as hard as when Paul Reubens died.💔
