Imagine growing up in Salem and then discovering your 6th great-grandparents were John and Elizabeth Proctor — both convicted during the witch trials 🔮

That's exactly what happened to Beverly Cooper Pierce, and it sparked an incredible journey into family history and magical-realist fiction. From academic librarian to registered nurse to historical novelist, her story weaves together all these threads.

On January 25th at the Hawthorne Hotel, you can join the Woman's Friend Society and hear how she turned that shocking family discovery into her novel "The Rowans" — and she's working on a sequel set in Maine!
