Get crafty for a cause with the Woman's Friend Society! 🎨✨

Join them at the historic Emmerton House (12 Hawthorne Blvd, Salem) on Saturday, November 22 for a festive Holiday Wood Sign Workshop led by Lisa from April’s Way Custom Creations. No experience needed—just creativity and holiday spirit!

Participants will design a 17" x 11" pallet sign, choosing from phrases like Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Season’s Greetings, or Welcome. With plenty of paint colors, ribbons, and embellishments, every sign will be one-of-a-kind.

✨ Wed 11/5 – Dance with Mini Movers at 10:30AM and start the day with rhythm and fun!
⚽ Fri 11/7 – Get moving with Inclyousion Sports at 10AM — inclusive sports, fitness, and teamwork for all!
🎭 Sat 11/8 – Tap into creativity with Kids’ Theater Games at 3PM, led by NSCM’s own Christina.
🤖 Sun 11/9 – Dive into robotics with RoboPetz for ages 5+, where imagination meets innovation (supported by the Mass Cultural Council).

All programs are included with admission unless noted, and tickets can be reserved in advance at nschildrensmuseum.org

The evening kicks off with a short reading by J.D. Scrimgeour, followed by featured authors sharing their work in a night of creativity, community, and inspiration. The event will close with an open mic welcoming 10 local voices to the stage.

Scrimgeour has lived in Salem for three decades, and he has spent much of his writing career trying to make sense of this place that has become his home. This book invites you into that home.

On October 29th, the iconic House of the Seven Gables is hosting something truly special: a screening of The House on Haunted Hill (1959) with Victoria Price herself.
