Last week I did a tribute show to Raul Malo, many thanks to all for the nice compliments on this tribute show.
I got home to hear of another great loss to the americana community. I will have another Tribute show this week.

This one comes with a story...
The Mavericks had come for two nights in Austin, I went with my daughter the first night, and woke the next morning, looking for a ticket to night two, she said dad I will drop you off and pick you up after. In the crowd I found out on very good rumor he was going to come to a nightclub down there. As I was picked up and shared this rumor, she said lets go...
We found the place and went in, I thought how happy her mother would be, taking her to this nightclub at TWO AM!!! Austin,TX.
After a bit, he came in, I said to him you ,stars are a little hard to get close to, but it helps having a cute daughter, Raul Malo said, and I will never forget, "oh she has cute". God Bless Him...
His music has been a big part of my radio show...

Morgan Hill, a free show, my daughter and I had a great time, "dancing the night away". I saw him many times, all over the place all very special memories. The Ryman, what a night!
Next Mondays show will be a very special tribute to this man,
entertainer extraordinaire, a very kind human that caught our hearts, with his music, art, presence...

hostessed by Lisa, still a very popular show in the line-up. onward...
I went down and introduced myself, I had an idea for a program
Texas country music, they said, when would you like to start...
Shortly after Bacon Lubbock Tomato Sandwich w/ Rick White was born, and accepted by local audience and beyond...
