It’s Kaya week for my History Through American Girl class, and we made our own parfleches! 🦬

My daughters have been my project testers and they are having a ball! This was such an easy project and ended up being a huge hit with my students. You can even make a doll-sized parfleche! 😍

After spending the summer preparing, it was so fun to finally see everything come together!

This semester, we’re starting with some of the earliest historical characters. We’ll explore history through American Girl stories with hands-on activities, crafts, and lots of fun.

My first History Through American Girl class was yesterday, and it went SO well!! 📚

After spending the summer preparing, it was so fun to finally see everything come together! We spent our first class getting to know each other, meeting our first 8 American Girl historical characters, and creating our own “passports” that we’ll use as we travel through history!

I can’t wait for next week!

This summer, I’ve been hard at work creating my very own History Through American Girl course, and tomorrow is finally our first day! 📚

We’re starting with Kaya and making our way all the way to Claudie, learning about American history through hands-on activities and crafts! We’ll even be creating our own American Girl historical characters and ending with a living history museum!

I’ve spent so much time researching, planning, and gathering ALL the things for this class, and I’m so excited to finally get started! ❤️
