‼️Effective October 1, 2025, the fine structure for Speed Monitoring Systems will change across the state.
This change comes as a result of House Bill 182, passed on May 13, 2025, which introduces a tiered fine system based on how far over the speed limit a driver is traveling.
Previously, all speed camera violations resulted in a civil citation of $40, regardless of the speed. Under the new system, fines will still be civil citations, but the amounts will vary depending on the speed over the limit.
