Backstory: Landscaping is the solo project of Andrew Petersen (), he approached me in June of 2020 asking about releasing his first album he had just finished on .kawali‘s label (UPHERE!) which was still starting up at the time, and he listened and agreed we could do a run of 25 CD’s and a listening party. This started our partnership in the label, and introduced us to people that also became close friends and joined the label. This album, also self produced, “Heaven Is Near” is like your favorite indie film in album form, a journey of loss and discovery. This will be the last indefinite release from UPHERE! Records for the foreseeable future.
