Hi, I’m Zachery Armijo, though I wear a few different hats as a writer. For my adult readers, you’ll find me under my full name, Zachery Armijo. For my young adult audience, I write as ZT Arms, and for the kids, I’m “Uncle Zac,” the name my little ones call me. My journey to becoming an author has been anything but conventional. Growing up surrounded by instability and hardship, I found solace in books—they were my escape, my teachers, and my window to stability. Though reading didn’t come easily at first, I was captivated by illustrated encyclopedias, which sparked a love for stories and knowledge that shaped my life. These days, as Uncle Zac, I’m on a mission to pass that sense of wonder and healing on to the next generation. During the pandemic, I became “Mr. Zac” to my niece, Brooklyn, guiding her through lessons at home. That experience led me to create the Brooklyn Explains So Many Wonderful Things series, where I turn learning into an adventure. With vibrant illustrations and engaging stories, I hope to inspire children everywhere to explore, ask questions, and discover the wonders of the world around them.
