Last Friday, it was abruptly announced that Gilberts Mexican Restaurant, located at 8138 Marbach Road, would be closing. Since opening its doors in 1982, the family-owned restaurant has been a gathering place icon for generations of locals, tourists, and Tejano music lovers. A Gofundme has been opened in attempts to keep the cultural icon open for years to come. Check out our full article!
