Well, this is interesting. She hinted to making a hard decision during a live a few weeks ago. With her being solo parent trying to pay the bills, it’s the first thing I thought of when she referred to making a decision. I could be wrong, but not sure what else would it be with Sierra.

In KY, a grandparent raising a grandchild can pursue child support from the parent. The Formal Kinship program is an option for state involved custody where the state has custody, but can place the child with a grandparent. I don’t believe she would qualify for that program since Sierra gave her directly to G. There is an Informal kinship KTAP Child-Only Grant is available for grandparents to apply when they are raising them without the state involved.
