We’re saddened to share the passing of beloved Memorial High School alumnus and music legend Donald Garza, whom we had the honor of welcoming to Cafecito and Westside Stories just weeks ago. A proud member of the Class of 1971, Garza was more than a gifted musician—he was a storyteller whose passion radiated through every note.
For over five decades, he graced stages with remarkable bands and moved audiences with his boundless talent and generosity of spirit. His music brought joy to so many, and his legacy will continue to echo in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
En paz descanse, Donald Garza. Your voice may rest, but your song plays on.
