Dual forms? I hated them ❌— until they fixed my biggest problem. 🧐
When I first saw dual forms on Instagram, I thought wow.
Seamless, quick, perfect nails — or so it seemed.
Then I tried them.
The extensions came out thick, inconsistent, and just didn’t make sense for my busy salon life.
They took too long, and my clients all had different natural nail shapes and sizes that just didn’t fit into the “perfect Instagram” version.
So, I gave up.
Fast forward to last year… I was crazy booked, but my wrists were screaming from all the over-filing.
I could feel tendinitis setting in — and I panicked.
How was I supposed to keep doing what I love if my body gave out?
Out of desperation, I gave dual forms another shot.
This time, I’d researched everything — watched, studied, and practiced until I knew exactly how to use them the right way,
to fit every nail shape, size, and style.
Suddenly, my sets were faster.
I could simplify my service menu so clients only had to book one appointment type.
If they broke a nail or wanted to change length or shape, I could just do it —
no extra time, no extra charge, no stress for me or for them.
Now I’m obsessed… and my clients are too.
What I thought was “just a trend” ended up changing my career. ✨
💬 What’s one thing you swore you’d never do… that ended up being a game changer?
