Cyborg Amok a recording project comprised of vocalist/keyboardist Greg Bullock and his son, drummer Brydon Bullock are releasing their third album called Pins and Needles in 2025 which features on some of the tracks - Mark Gemini Thwaite (Peter Murphy, The Mission, Gary Numan) on guitar and Emilio Zef China (Peter Murphy, Jonathan Davis, Psychic TV) on bass. Listen to my interview and the music which I will be featuring today on The Queen of Wands Radio Show on ModSnap Radio with the enduring Goth Rock / Darkwave act The Awakening led by the Dark Romantic poet, singer, songwriter Ashton Nyte . He just released yesterday his 12th album of the same name via Intervention Acts.

The Awakening was formed in Johannesburg, South Africa in the late ’90s as the creative expression of vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Ashton Nyte, who was anointed as "Johannesburg's Bowie" for his widely varying musical
styles and theatrical performances.

The Awakening's sound incorporates numerous genres, including gothic rock, darkwave, post-punk, electronic rock, folk noir, new wave and more. "The Awakening" album follows Nyte's second book and eighth solo album 'Autumn's Children', which was selected as one of American Songwriter's Top 17 Albums of 2023. This new album is a celebration of the band's roots and influences. Nyte has collaborated with other musicians such Beauty In Chaos Michael Ciravolo , Mark Gemini Thwaite, just to name a few.

With a catalogue of over 300 released original songs, Ashton Nyte and The Awakening have enjoyed airplay and chart success on radio stations worldwide, with songs featured in popular television shows like 'Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin' and 'The
Purge'. Nyte has contributed to several scores, working with composer Ethan Gold for the movie 'Don't Let Go' (premiering at the Sundance Film Festival) and for the movie 'Pale Horse', directed by the late Pearry Teo. Thank you Shameless Promotion PR

It was an honor to talk to the Industrial-Electronic music legend Bill Leeb (Front Line Assembly, Delerium) who signs to Iconic US-based label Metropolis Records to debut his solo album. Titled 'Model Kollapse', this record explores the intricacies of artificial intelligence and the very survival of humanity itself. Front Line Assembly Delerium

Based in Vancouver, Bill Leeb is the mastermind behind electro-industrial scene mainstays Front Line Assembly and ambient-pop duo Delerium, having gotten his start with Skinny Puppy (under the pseudonym Wilhelm Schroeder). He is also a key member of other occasional recording projects, including Noise Unit, Intermix, Cyberaktif and Conjure One, just to name a few.

Leeb acknowledges the role that Metropolis Records has played in his recording career since the late 1990s, noting that “Metropolis Records have been and are one of the most important labels for alternative music on this planet and this album was made possible by my long-standing friendship with Dave Heckman (RIP), who continuously has supported us through the ages and gave us complete artistic freedom”. Tragically, Heckman died in the summer of 2022.
