Brianna Delgado (she/they) is a third-generation Mexican-American singer, actor, and aspiring comedienne born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Music has always been the conduit connecting Brianna to their culture, heritage, and sense of self. Through song and storytelling, they celebrate identity, humor, and resilience. Brianna is deeply grateful and thrilled to be part of Teatro Audaz’s Canciones del Corazón, honoring Latine voices, community, and the power of music to connect generations and tell stories straight from the heart.

Eric B. Mota (“EB”) is ecstatic to make his Teatro Audaz debut alongside an extraordinary collective of Latinx artists. A triple-threat performer, director, and teaching artist, EB spent 15 years working professionally in NYC. His credits include Broadway’s Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas and 11 national tours including A Chorus Line, West Side Story, Hair, and Tarzan. Film/TV credits include Every Little Step and American Idol. EB is co-owner of River Alchemy of Creative Arts, fostering healing, creativity, and community through art.

Year Three: (2018) Pelea Como Una Mujer ✊💜
What began as a dream became a gathering place. Season Three was about growth, strength, and resilience—uplifting voices that demanded space. This season made us pivot—but también nos hizo más fuertes.
Pelea Como Una Mujer taught us that resilience is part of the fight.

While the season was not able to go on as originally planned, we opened with staged readings of Anonymous and Afterlife, then reached a huge milestone with our first fully staged production, Aye, No!, in residency at The Public Theater of San Antonio.

We went on to produce Casa de Muñeca, launched our first Teatro Mundial: 10-Minute Play Festival, hosted our 2nd Opening Doors: Coming Out Story Slam, created and produced a new live theatre experience with our hilarious drag novela brunch series; The Glam Clam, and continued uplifting the next generation—our Audazitos—through staged readings with the San Antonio Public Library.

Así se pelea como una mujer: adapt, persist, y seguir contando nuestras historias.

🎭 Year Two (2017) 🎉

Year Two was where the magic truly began to sparkle. Teatro Audaz took bold steps onto the stage with powerful cuentos like La Pastorela, EL, Casa De Muneca, Chimichangas and Zoloft, and Dos Chicanos un Camino—stories that set the tone for fearless storytelling and deep comunidad connection.

Beyond the stage, we celebrated together through events like Opening Doors, a Coming Out Story Slam; Teatro Audaz at Pride, and our showcased the future of Audaz with our first ever Summer Theatre Camp. These moments weren’t just performances—they were gatherings, celebrations, and acts of love.

These audacious events and bold cuentos are the roots of who we are. They remind us why we create, why we gather, and why familia is at the heart of everything we do. 💜🎭✨

¡Feliz Año Nuevo, mi gente! ✨

Now that you know what to expect for our upcoming 10th season announcement fiesta, let us pause and take it back to where it all began. As we count down the days to AUDAZ X: A Decade of Familia, we celebrate ten years of fearless storytelling—finding home in every corazón we reach. 💜🎭

In our very first year (2016), Teatro Audaz stepped onto the scene with powerful staged readings, such as Aye No!, The Panza Monologues, and Requiem of the Oppressed, and ended with our very first staged production of La Pastorela.

These audacious and bold cuentos are the foundation of who we are. They reflect the spirit, courage, and creativity that Teatro Audaz has always strived to honor—and continues to stay true to—

Join us to celebrate the past, present and future of Audaz on Jan 10th at 6:30pm 🎉

Mi Gente!,

As 2025 comes to an end and we get ready to kickoff our 10th season, Audaz X: A Decade of Familia, we want to take a minute and reflect on ten years of fearless storytelling, finding home in every corazon we reach.💜 🎭

Ten years ago, Teatro Audaz began with a bold idea, a lot of heart, and the courage to tell stories that needed to be heard. What started in borrowed spaces and late-night rehearsals became a home for brave voices, powerful stories, and community-centered theatre.✊💪

Over the years, we’ve grown — not just in productions, but in purpose. Through challenges and triumphs, our gente showed up, our sponsors believed, and together we built something rooted in truth, culture, and audacity. 💜✨

Today, we reflect with gratitude on every artist, supporter, volunteer, and audience member who helped shape our journey. You are the reason our stories live on stage. 🎭 ✨

As we look toward the future, we remain committed to bold storytelling, nurturing new voices, and continuing to create theatre that connects, challenges, and celebrates who we are.🎉🥳

Here’s to the past, the present, and everything still to come.
Gracias for 10 audacious years. 🎉🎭

Get Your tickets now to come and celebrate with us on Jan 10th | 6:30pm, before they are gone!

“Hasta la raíz,” a song released by the Mexican artist Natalia Lafourcade in 2015, not long before Donald Trump descended his golden escalator, has served as a sort of anthem for Mexicans in the United States. In the streets of Los Angeles, in June, as the city clashed with ICE, the children of Mexican immigrants shared photos of their parents on Instagram and TikTok with the trending audio. “I carry you within, to the root,” the chorus goes, in Spanish. “Even if I hide myself behind a mountain, and find myself in a field full of sugar cane, there’s no way, my moonbeam, that you can leave.”

After gaining mainstream stardom in the Spanish-speaking world in the 2000s, Lafourcade made a startling pivot. In the following decade, she began releasing albums of folk music. It’s difficult to find an analogue for this sort of artistic transformation in the United States. “She inhabits the space that a pop star like, say, Sabrina Carpenter might, if Carpenter suddenly began recording Woody Guthrie songs,” Jack Herrera writes, in a profile of the former teen pop star, who has become a new emblem of “Veracruz sound.” Read more: https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/BKSMM6
