Musicians, please take your health seriously.
I had been dealing with migraines for a few weeks before recording this video, but I kept pushing through and played the entire service thinking it was “just a headache.”
The very next day, I ended up in hospital and was told that if I had left things any longer, the outcome could have been very different. 🕊️
It was a sobering reminder that we can be so committed to serving, creating and showing up that we ignore what our bodies are trying to tell us.
More than anything, though, this is a testimony of God’s faithfulness.
The song I was playing in this video says, “Lord, You are awesome… if it wasn’t for Your love, if it wasn’t for Your grace…” and watching it back now, those words carry a completely different weight.
I’m so grateful to God for His mercy, protection, healing and the gift of life. I’m also incredibly thankful for my husband, friends and family who rallied around me, and for my amazing church leadership who covered me in prayer and supported me through it all.
I’ve genuinely appreciated taking a short sabbatical to rest, recover and reset and I’m so excited to be back serving, creating and posting again.
Take care of the gift God has given you, including you. 🤍🙏🏾
