Nobody tells you that starting messy still counts as starting. I didn’t have a grand plan when I walked away from 20 years in medicine. Half of what I’m doing right now I’m figuring out as I go, and it’s still working. If you’re waiting to feel ready before you start something: you’re not going to. Start messy. 1. I spent 20 years being the responsible one…the schedule, the title, the person everyone counted on to have it together. 2. I used to think being an adult meant not being silly anymore. 3. Turns out my son doesn’t care if I’m “put together.” He just wants me dancing next to him with headphones on, making a fool of myself on a cruise ship. 4. I still don’t have life all figured out at 46. But I’ve stopped pretending I need to. If you’re still learning how to loosen up and actually enjoy your own life…let’s be friends. 🎧

If by cringe you mean I quit a 20-year medical career to lip sync in my car and call it a business plan…yeah, I'll take it 💅 I'm not chasing a perfectly curated feed. I'd rather be the 46-year-old on a Texas farm making content that's actually real, because that's the whole point of my reinvention…stacking new skills into the hours I hadn't quit yet, and betting on myself instead of staying comfortable. 200+ brand deals, one exited business, and a lot of "wait, she does WHAT now full time?" later…still cringe, still here, still doing it. 1. I stayed in medicine two years longer than I needed to because I didn’t know who I’d be without the title. 2. I built an entire ecommerce business, closed it in 2025, and told almost no one how hard that year actually was. 3. I still don’t have it all figured out. I thought women in their 40s did. 4. I still wonder what’s next for me. The difference is that in my 30s that question scared me — at 46, it excites me. If you are just a regular girl still figuring out life too, let’s be friends! 🫶
