It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of José “El Jefe” García, Sr., beloved founder and driving force behind Los Garcia Brothers. At the age of 74, “El Jefe” leaves behind a musical legacy that shaped the sound of Conjunto and touched countless lives across generations.

From the dance halls to the big stages, his accordion and voice brought people together, celebrating our culture, our stories, and our love for Tejano music. His impact will forever echo in every note played and every step danced to his songs.

Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, fellow musicians, and the fans who loved him. Rest in peace, El Jefe. Your music and spirit will live on forever. 🎶🕊️
