Here are some scenes from the end of my Kawadansu set at Kawacon, paying respects to my (and San Antonio’s) longtime friend, legendary DJ, and possibly SA’s greatest master of ceremonies of all time, Isaiah Lacy. Kaos got me deep into Drum n Bass about 10 years ago and it was a new challenge learning to mix it but playing alongside him at places in San Antonio and in Austin (with Area 512 Entertainment ) brought me up to speed with these incredible rhythms. I would often catch him at WEB HOUSE CAFÉ & BAR and anytime I had a bad day, he would always put it into perspective and ensure that at least I will have a good tomorrow. There was never a bad bone in his body and I was so happy and proud he got to play A-Kon: Anime Unchained and even prouder he would break ground in anime spaces here in San Antonio. I would have loved to have seen him at Kawacon and I wish I could have had the chance to work with him at more anime events. Your friends love you Isaiah Lacy. It was an honor working with you and it’s a bigger honor being your friend. Until next, until forever! Bless! 🙏

This Saturday will kick off my 20th anniversary tour at Kawacon called Sephi20 (Sephi Two Oh)! These next 12 months will culminate with performances by your Otaku Chief all over the world as I play the best sounds of AnimEDM, Trance, and Hard Dance on my biggest adventure yet. Catch me this Saturday at the HBG Convention Center DJing at Kawadansu, then in August I’ll be at Cherrity Bar appearing at the Kokoro event Summer Festival. Then just announcing, I will be headlining Dance Dance RAVEolution at The Pet Shop OKC in Oklahoma City, making my return to OKC since 2023! It’s true Stars! Your Otaku Chief will be at Kawacon Main Stage for Kawadansu, Kawacon’s Beach Episode Main Event AnimEDM party on July 4th at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas! I am always blessed and appreciative to be a part of San Antonio’s best anime weekend while joining a fellow Trance legend Gilbert Carrizales and the spicy icon of sound GHOST DATA. This will be a very special Kawadansu as not only will I be celebrating my 40th birthday at Kawacon, I will also celebrate my 20th anniversary as your AnimEDM DJ with Kawadansu kicking off my Sephi20 Tour. I will also be paying respects to Texas’ DnB and emcee legend and mentor Isaiah Lacy with a special tribute at the end of my set. Stars. We regret to announce that we will be cancelling our upcoming event at in May. Out of respect for our dearly departed friend and out of respect for his family, the HakubiVerse family and San Antonio’s rave community will be paying respects to Texas’ legendary DnB deejay and emcee. We ask to instead celebrate his life this Friday at 5PM at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and again on Saturday at 7PM at the Woodlawn Theater for a special screening of Kaos’ favorite movie, Groove.
All tickets purchased for Trance Formation have already had their refunds originated and are on their way back. Thank you for supporting and the in and we will work on rescheduling this event and lineup as best and soon as possible.

This setback is only temporary as we are looking forward to feature Genevieve XO at a Trance Formation as soon as possible.
