ATL (Addicted to Love) is one of the realest love records I’ve ever created. Produced by GT Garza, the beat is melodic, smooth, and warm — that type of instrumental that instantly puts you in your feelings. But this song comes from a deeper place… a place I didn’t fully understand until I wrote it.
This track is about my personal addiction to the idea of love — not the person, not the relationship, but the feeling itself. That high you get when you think you found “the one”… where nothing else matters but hearing from them, being next to them, or feeling connected to them. I was willing to let go of my dreams, goals, discipline, even my routine, just to stay wrapped up in that emotion all day.
It wasn’t them that destroyed me —
it was my craving for that feeling.
My addiction to what I thought love was supposed to feel like.
I talk about the kind of love that’ll make you:
“drop outta school, lay around all day, making love, eating junk food…”
— that lazy, blissful, intoxicating love that feels good in the moment but slowly eats at your purpose.
This song is me admitting how far I used to go just to feel emotionally full. Not blaming the women I loved, not pointing fingers — just owning the truth: I lost myself chasing a feeling I thought was love.
ATL isn’t just a song.
It’s a reflection.
A confession.
A reminder that if you don’t love yourself first, you will mistake emotional addiction for real connection.
Press play, vibe out, and if you’ve ever been addicted to love… this one is for you.
