Update on SAR on Canyon Lake Texas as of July 25 2025
Samuel Painter and Pamela Painter of My Lake News got a tip from someone who is an official Comal County representative, who wanted be stay anonymous. “Go check out boat ramp 22, it is horrible” Samuel did and was aghast at what he saw and smelled. This is directly below the water treatment plant which we believe might be where the community gets their water?
This official was there saying SAR is absolutely going on!
I meet a family from Houston who was at the Comal Park and said…
“The water was so murky, not at all like their pictures were showing”

Update,
By July 20, 2025, only three people remain officially listed as missing following the deadly July 4 flash floods along the Guadalupe River in Kerr County, Texas. That’s down from over 160 initially unaccounted-for individuals, and the sharp decline is credited to intensive search-and-rescue and investigative efforts .

Multiple agencies—including Texas National Guard, TEXSAR, Texas Task Force One, and volunteer groups like United Cajun Navy and Texas EquuSearch. Along with, National, state, and international teams: Blue Diver Search and Recovery (DFW-based with dry-suit divers and sonar “AquaEye”), U.S. Coast Guard, drones, helicopters, boats, and cadaver dogs have been mobilized across the Hill Country region, often working under difficult conditions are working roughly 60 to 100 miles of the river corridor, including Canyon Lake region.
God Bless these hard working people and dogs please keep them safe🙏

Search teams are working tirelessly to recover the deceased from this catastrophic flood. While some are grateful for the beautiful lake it created, others upstream are still searching for answers — answers that, sadly, are beginning to surface in our lake, according to Mike Jimenez with KENS5 News.
