Today we laid my father, Gregory Vaughns, to rest. A man whose presence was impossible to ignore. His larger than life, with a laugh that could fill a room and a personality that could light it up even brighter. There was never a dull moment with Pops.

He loved baseball with all his heart, and coaching wasn’t just a hobby, it was a calling. He poured into others the same way he poured into his family, always showing up with pride and passion.

So many of my personality traits, my confidence, my energy, my love for people, they all come from him. He always believed in himself, even through the toughest times.

In his final chapter, he fought a hard battle with a brain tumor that affected his memory, but never his spirit. And while it’s bittersweet, because he’s no longer in pain, but also no longer here but, I find peace knowing he’s watching over me now.

Rest in peace, Pops.

Thank you for everything.

Happy One Year Anniversary to my beautiful wife . Throughout my journey in this thing called life, you have been there right by my side. Through thick and thin!
