Three Arrested in Stolen Property Investigation

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reports that deputies responded after a witness observed several people unloading boxes from a train into a vehicle.

Upon arrival, deputies, along with CHP and Sheriff’s Aviation, located suspects hiding in nearby bushes. When deputies tried to make contact, the suspects fled on foot, leading to a pursuit across the freeway and through a drainage tunnel.

With help from Sheriff’s Aviation, CHP, BNSF Railway Police, Union Pacific, and Metrolink, three suspects were apprehended:
• Bladhir Acuta Gerson, 24, Maywood
• Jesus Baez Vega, 28, Hesperia
• Fernando Osuna Sanchez, 20, Riverside

All three were booked at the High Desert Detention Center for possession of stolen property.

TRAFFIC COLLISION - rpt @ 2:06 PM 58000 block Fillmore Avenue X Avenue 58 in Thermal. Firefighters responded to reports of a multi vehicle accident at the intersection. Upon arrival, firefighters found a head on collision with major damage to the vehicles. A total of four patients were transported to area hospitals with traumatic injuries, two by air ambulance and two by ground ambulance. Fillmore avenue will be closed in both directions until further notice. Further updates through CHP. CHP - Indio investigating. County of Riverside - Government

Multi-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Lanes on I-210 in San Bernardino

Date: March 12, 2026
Location: Westbound Interstate 210 at Greenspot Road, San Bernardino

At approximately 11:35 PM, authorities responded to a multi-vehicle traffic collision involving up to five vehicles, including a semi-truck, on westbound I-210 near Greenspot Road.

According to incident logs, vehicles were reported on both the eastbound and westbound sides of the freeway, with all westbound lanes temporarily blocked as deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department arrived on scene and held traffic.

Fire personnel were also requested to respond.

One reporting party in a white Ford Focus indicated their vehicle was not drivable following the crash.

The extent of injuries was not immediately known.

PERRIS, CA — Foster Father Arrested in Decade-Long Child Molestation Investigation

In February 2026, investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office assigned to the Perris Sheriff’s Station, with assistance from the Riverside County Department of Public Social Services, began investigating allegations of child molestation and sexual assault involving two juveniles.

During the investigation, detectives identified the suspect as Napoleon Cerda, 57, of Perris. Investigators determined Cerda allegedly molested and sexually assaulted the victims over a period of approximately 10 years.

On March 6, 2026, Cerda was taken into custody in the 30000 block of Auld Road without incident and booked into the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center on multiple counts of lewd acts with a child.

The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities believe additional victims may exist.

San Bernardino Shooting on 16th Street Under Investigation

March 12, 2026 – 5:00 PM
16th Street between N F St and N E St, San Bernardino, CA

San Bernardino Police responded to reports of a shooting on 16th Street between North F Street and North E Street around 5:00 p.m. Officers quickly taped off the area as they began investigating the scene.

Numerous shell casings from a firearm were observed on the roadway, with officers documenting evidence and photographing the casings. Police were also seen at a nearby home a short distance away as part of the investigation.

It is currently unknown if a suspect has been located or what the condition of the victim is. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.

COLTON, CA — Authorities have identified the woman who died after being struck in a hit-and-run collision Wednesday morning in Colton.

According to the Colton Police Department, officers responded around 6:49 a.m. on March 11, 2026 to the 1900 block of W. Valley Boulevard for a report of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian.

When officers arrived, they found an injured woman lying on the shoulder of the roadway. Investigators say she had been struck by a vehicle that fled the scene prior to police arrival.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where she later died from her injuries. She has been identified as Sharon Irene Brannon, a resident of Highland.

The department’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) and detectives took over the case. Through investigative leads, authorities were able to locate both the vehicle involved and the driver in San Bernardino Manuel Cidgonzalez, 49-year-old male - resident of San Bernardino, CA.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation, and it has not yet been announced whether any charges will be filed.

Pursuit of Stolen Vehicle Ends in Crash and Foot Pursuit at Bloomington Warehouse

Date: March 12, 2026
Time: Around 2:00 p.m.
Location: Orange Street area, Bloomington, CA

Around 2:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon, deputies with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office were involved in a pursuit of a stolen Hyundai that originated in Riverside County.

The pursuit entered San Bernardino County, traveling through Colton before ending at a warehouse property off Orange Street in Bloomington.

At the location, the suspect vehicle crashed and the driver fled on foot. Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, officers from surrounding agencies, and units from the California Highway Patrol responded and searched the private business property.

A person across from the warehouse told me that the fleeing vehicle crashed into there car during the incident leaving damage.

Authorities eventually declared the situation Code 4, indicating the scene was secure. It was not immediately clear whether the suspect was taken into custody.
