Our final fishing day at Kingfisher Charters ended just like it began, with full totes of fish we were busy all day! We started our day trolling for salmon and were able to finish off the annual limits for the rest of the boat, then ran offshore to once again catch limits for the full boat on amazing grade of sablefish, and also managed to fill out a limit of shortraker rockcod to go along with them. After that, it was a relatively short run to go throw on a quick limit of halibut. With still time left in the bank, We slid inshore and finished off the perfect day catching shallow water rockfish, and monster lingcod on the bass gear! Our group of , and fished aboard the Makai and catfish like a well oiled machine! There has been a lot of talk about limits, etc. up here in Southeast Alaska, and what I can confirm is we had a fantastic time, were treated to absolutely first class service, are delicious meals, enjoyed excellent accommodations and now we have to figure out where we’re gonna keep 130 pounds of premium processed Fish from Alaska. Absolutely no shortage of boxes going south for us! Day 1 of the Lets Talk Hook Up trip to Kingfisher Charters is in the books! Year after year Kingfisher delivers on the Fun, the friendliness, the food and most important, the Fishing! Today we has a beautiful flat calm morning, with some afternoon wind and rain (our next 2 days are forecasted to be great!) our group fishing on the Makai had limits of halibut, anchored by Dallas’s 85 pounder! Limits of rockfish on the bass gear with leadheads and 5” (Wendy was red hot on the black bass and yellow eye’s. We had fantastic Lingcod fishing again all on swimbaits including Chris’s monster (mark wore the ling crown today!) And finished off with some beautiful King Salmon. A great day today and we’re doing it all again tomorrow. Stand by for more updates and photos!
