The 2026-2027 recreational spiny lobster season is scheduled to open Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, at 6 p.m. Spiny Lobster Report Cards are on sale now and required for any person fishing for spiny lobster. Spiny lobster can only be taken by hand or hoop net and must be measured immediately when taken. Any lobster measuring less than 3.25 inches carapace length must be released immediately into the water and cannot be kept or placed in any type of receiver, bag or other container.
