dj shadow— what does your soul look like?—- this song came out when I was in college in nyc— the title is the inspiration behind the metaphorical naming of my skateboard company: “lingerie skateboards—-“ stripping things down to lingerie is not about being xrayedIt is about what your soul looks like… What is the fundamental truth of things? It is about being real. this was a seminal record for me—- and perhaps one of my most formative memories is the fact that it was an old drum teacher of mine who taught me how to properly tune a guitar.
