Behind the Bakes - Last Week at Sugar Drop 🍪✨

Here’s a little look back at what life and baking looked like last week—both in the kitchen and beyond!

1️⃣ Moe’s stroller game is strong. Ready for adventure, or at least a very dramatic nap. 🐾
2️⃣ Big kid + baby snuggles = heart officially melted 💛
3️⃣ German Chocolate Brownie testing in progress! A little tweaking needed, but this one’s gonna be worth the wait. 👀🍫
4️⃣ 14 years married to my favorite person—cheers to love, laughter, and someone who never complains about cookie crumbs. 🥂
5️⃣ Cookies made for a cozy night in with friends. Good company, good cookies—what else do you need?
6️⃣ Spring is showing off around here. 🌸 Blooms = instant mood boost.

A little bit of baking, a lot of life lately 🍪✨ Recipe testing, baby milestones, end-of-school celebrations, and a whole lot of chocolate. Here’s a peek at what’s been going on!

1: Starting with this mix of chocolate + peanut butter perfection… 👀 Recipe testing mode was on and this combo did not disappoint.
2: The result? Ooey, gooey, peanut butter-packed magic. I’m obsessed.
3: Like… how do I not add peanut butter chips to everything now??
4: My baby girl is 7 months old 🥹 How is time moving so fast?
5: And this one finished 6th grade!! So proud of him and all he’s accomplished this year 💙
6: Of course, we celebrated the best way we know how: baking chocolate chip cookies. Always a good idea 🍪
7: Taking a moment to stop and smell the flowers 🌸 Grateful for this sweet season—chaos and all.

✨ Fun Facts About Me! ✨
Whether you’re new here or have been following along for a while, here are a few fun little facts about the baker behind the cookies 🍪💛

1. I run this biz from home, so yes, it always smells like cookies, and no, I never get tired of it.
2. I’m a mom of two: a brand new baby and a 12-year-old. Life right now is equal parts cookie dough, cuddles, and chaos!
3. You won’t believe this: I started decorating cookies on a total whim. My son wanted to give it a try so I thought I’d try it once with him… and here I am years later, running a full-blown cookie business. Wild, right?!
4. I’m currently shifting my focus to bakery-style cookies, treat boxes, and digital goodies (like recipes + tutorials!), while still hoping to take on a limited amount custom orders when I can.
5. I’ve always believed cookies (and other baked treats) are little edible love notes, and I’m so lucky I get to share them with all of you.

I’ve given things a little refresh, and it’s just the beginning! With a new baby in the mix and less time for custom cookie orders (they’re so time-consuming!), I’m shifting gears a bit.
You can expect more recipe content, baking inspo, and behind-the-scenes fun—plus some pop-ups and the occasional presale. 🍪✨
