I’ve been a truck driver for eight years, and I love it—the freedom, the solitude, the feeling of control. But my family doesn’t take it seriously. My mom thinks it’s a phase, my sister thinks I should do something “more feminine,” and my dad just doesn’t get it. I make good money, pay my bills, and I’m great at what I do, but they treat it like a joke. Last Thanksgiving, my uncle even joked about me needing a husband to drive me around. They don’t understand that this job is who I am. (check in first comment👇)
