Ever wonder where the other half of your money goes after a rideshare shift?

That's exactly why I built the Gig Driver Equation.
It's a FREE calculator that estimates your operating costs, tax reserve, and what you actually keep after every shift.
No payment. No account required. No personal information collected.

App isn't letting me share the link publicly, so if you want the calculator, comment "Calculator" or send me a DM, and I'll send it over.

Built by a driver. For drivers.

Apparently TikTok isn't a fan of links in comments.
No problem.

Comment Calculator and I'll send you the free Gig Driver Equation through DM.

It estimates your operating costs, tax reserve, and what you actually keep after every shift.

No account. No payment. Just a tool built by a driver for drivers.

🚙📊 It's finally here.

I built the Gig Driver Equation, a free calculator designed to help Uber and Lyft drivers estimate what they actually keep after expenses.

The apps show gross earnings. I wanted to focus on real profit.

This is the first tool under the R101C project, with more free calculators, product testing, and weekly rideshare breakdowns on the way.

💬 Comment "TOOL" and I'll send it to you.

I made $37.75 in 1 hour and 13 minutes driving Uber and Lyft.

Sounds decent… until the rideshare math starts crawling out of the shadows. 🪲💵

After 41.2 miles, estimated gas, insurance, car payment, car wash, oil, tires, brakes, and a 20% tax set-aside, I was left with about:

$12.60

That’s the juicy part, so this time I moved it to the beginning instead of making everyone wait through my entire human documentary.

Gross pay is not take-home pay. It’s just the number that looks best in a screenshot.

Would you keep driving for $12.60 net?

$23 in 3 hours.
18 miles driven.

Good deal or bad deal? 🤔

$1.28/mile ✅
$7.67/hour ❌

Would you take it? And would your answer change if gas was $2 cheaper?

⛽ RAPID FIRE GAS TIP #1

Pay cash when possible.

Many gas stations charge 10¢–20¢ less per gallon for cash purchases. That might not sound like much, but over a week, month, or year of driving, those savings add up.

A 20-gallon fill-up could save you $2–$4 instantly.

Small habits. Bigger savings. 🚗💨

⛽ RAPID FIRE GAS TIP #2

Don’t buy gas right off the freeway.

Gas stations near freeway exits know you’re in a hurry and often charge a premium for convenience.

Drive a mile or two into town and you’ll usually find noticeably better prices.

The best gas deals are rarely at the first station you see after getting off the highway. 🚗💨

Save money by planning ahead, not by pumping in a panic.

⛽ RAPID FIRE GAS TIP #4

Stack your discounts.

If you shop at Vons, Albertsons, Pavilions, Ralphs, Food 4 Less, or other participating grocery stores, make sure you’re using your loyalty card or phone number at checkout.

Those purchases can earn fuel rewards that can be redeemed at participating gas stations like Chevron and other partner locations.

When it’s time to fill up:

✅ Go inside and pay cash
✅ Tell the cashier you want to use your fuel rewards
✅ Enter the same phone number tied to your grocery account

Now you’re stacking:

💵 Cash Discount

⛽ Grocery Fuel Rewards

That’s how smart drivers keep more money in their pocket. 🚗💨

⛽ RAPID FIRE GAS TIP #3

Want your engine to last longer?

Use Top Tier fuel whenever possible.

Top Tier gas contains additional detergents that help keep fuel injectors, intake valves, and other engine components cleaner over time.

Brands like Shell, Chevron, Mobil, Costco, and others that carry the Top Tier certification can help reduce carbon buildup and keep your engine running efficiently.

A few cents more at the pump today could mean fewer headaches down the road. 🚙 💨
