A voice generations of Dominicans grew up listening to. 🇩🇴🎙️

Legendary Dominican radio personality Francis Méndez has died at 75, leaving behind more than five decades on the air and a legacy that connected the Dominican Republic, New York City and Latino listeners across generations.

From Radio Guarachita to Mega 97.9’s El Vacilón de la Mañana and the unforgettable “Señor Bolero,” his voice became part of the soundtrack of our community.

For many, this wasn’t just radio. It was home.
