Deb and I just finished testing our Source Connect setup with the London production company who will be producing a Nat Geo series. The engineer in London was able to shuttle the Pro Tools session with video, punch in, and direct, as I tested here from the booth, and Deb tested from the control room. Just like being in the same room. Pretty wonderful.

Our newest podcast series launched today. So happy to be working with our great friend Coach Bill Hart. I just got the approval from Stitcher, and we're just waiting for Apple. Everyone else propagates from there, so once Apple gives the blessing, it all goes viral. Sweet!

The podcast is called "All In with Coach Bill Hart." Bill will be interviewing people from all walks of life who are super committed and "all in" with their passions and projects.

Friday will be an interview with Steve Sims, author of "Blue Fishing: The Art of Making Things Happen." A shy lad who looks good in a ski cap. Stay tuned.

Coach Bill has 22,000 Facebook followers, and one of his posts has gotten 20 million views. So we're fastening our seat belts for this white knuckle ride!

When I started recording jingles for Tuesday Productions, after years of recording local indie bands, I was amazed at how good my mixes sounded. I could just bring up all the faders straight across and everything just sat in the grooves, no fighting between instruments. It was then that I realized that the arranger was the real hero in the scenario.

He wrote the parts so that everything had a time and place and purpose.

And the instruments, such as drums, sounded amazing right out of the case. Shure SM57s with a bit of EQ. The drummer bought the right gear, and kept it in a condition that translated to recording.

Working with pros will always make your life a pleasure.
