Thank you so much for all the birthday love and sweet messages today! 🥹💕

If you called, texted, emailed, or messaged Mermaid Kove, I promise I wasn’t ignoring you! I took the day to celebrate my birthday and enjoy a much needed day off.

A very late post considering these kids are already walking the halls of middle school 😂😭

But I had to give these Filipino leis their moment. 🇵🇭
I made them for my son and his friends for their 5th grade graduation, and looking back at these pictures already makes my mama heart a little emotional. One chapter ended, another one started, and somehow it all happened way too fast.

I love that I got to make something for them that celebrated such a big milestone while also carrying a little piece of our culture with them. 🇵🇭❤️

They may be middle schoolers now, but I’m still back here trying to catch up on the memories. 😂🥹

Mermaid Kove made it all the way to HAWAII! 🌺🏈🤙🏽

The Mira Mesa Marauders recently took the field in Hawaii, and I loved getting to be a small part of such a special experience by making their shirts! 🧜🏽‍♀️💜

There’s just something so cool about seeing something made right here in San Diego travel across the ocean and become part of memories these players and families will have forever.

This summer was everything I didn’t know I needed. 🌊✨

We traveled across the world, spent time with family and friends, made some incredible memories, said some really hard goodbyes, and somehow added even MORE animals to our already crazy house. 😂

Somewhere in the middle of all of it, I gave myself permission to slow down.

Mermaid Kove got a little quieter because this summer, I chose to be present.

Now school is back, Mermaid Kove is back, September is almost here, and so is my birthday. 🥹🎉

Before stepping into another year of life, I wanted to write about this summer. The good, the hard, the adventures, the people we love, and why sometimes the ordinary moments end up meaning the most.

Start the business you’ve been thinking about.
Start the clothing line.
Start the degree.
Start the class.

Start at your kitchen table.
Start with what you have.

You don’t have to have everything figured out. You don’t need all the equipment, the perfect logo, a huge following, or a perfect plan.

You just have to start.

Because one day you’ll turn on the equipment you once dreamed about owning and realize you actually did it. 🥹

Just start it. 🤍

I may have been a little quiet on here, but Mermaid Kove has definitely NOT been quiet behind the scenes 😂

Back to school season means the heat press is hot, the orders are coming in, and I’m somewhere under a pile of shirts trying to remember if I ate today. 😅

Just a little reminder that I’m still here, still creating, and still making all the things. 🧜🏽‍♀️✨

And yes, I’m still taking orders! 😂 Message me if you need something made!

Some of my favorite creations start with a blank canvas and a handful of fabric markers. ✍️💙

Watching these race car and Stitch jeans come to life reminded me why I love what I do. My son is obsessed with cars and Stitch, so bringing the two together into one design made this project even more fun. Every line is hand drawn, every detail is intentional, and every piece is made with love.

Here’s to making childhood just a little more colorful. 🌊✨

While I’m away, physical product orders will be paused and will resume on July 6.

Behind every growing athlete is a coach who shows up again and again 💙🌊

So thankful for the Deep Sea Devils coaches who poured so much time, patience, encouragement, and energy into these kids over the last two seasons. Watching A. Kove grow and improve has been such an amazing thing to witness, and it truly would not be possible without hardworking coaches who care both in and out of the game.
