Instagram just made some of its biggest analytics updates in years.
For brands and marketers, this means you can finally see exactly which content is driving growth and make decisions backed by new data.
Here’s what you need to know: ⬇️
📌 Reel Like Insights - Now you can see the moment when someone taps “like” when watching your Reel.
📌 Carousel Like Insights - Find out which slide people were viewing when they “liked” your carousel.
📌 Post-Level Demographics - See the demographics of people who have viewed your content (not just your audience demographics) to understand who is seeing your posts. This can also help you fine-tune your messaging for non-followers!
📌 Top Follower Drivers - See which posts are resulting in new followers so you can replicate this type of content.
📌 Viewers will replace “Accounts Reached” - Measurement will now be based on how many views your content has instead of reach. Reminder: reach refers to the number of unique accounts that have seen your content, while views represent the total number of times your content has been seen (which may include repeat views from the same account).

- Identify what posts, visuals, hooks, and formats drive the most followers and when people engaged.
🎯Repurpose Top Performers
- Pull high-performing hooks or visuals into new content, ad creatives, or stories. IE: if a specific carousel slide got the most likes, lead with that type of graphic next time.
