Afro Beer Chick Just a chick with a kick ass afro bouncing around the great City of Chicago looking for awesome beer

I started my beer journey in 2009 after I had my first taste of Goose Island's Sophie and I haven't looked back since. In 2012, I started a chapter of Girls Pint Out in the great city of Chicago, which was a wonderful experience to be apart of a group of like minded women that just wanted to enjoy great beer. I unfortunately had to turn over the chapter due to being a mom of smaller children at that time, however, I never stopped drinking my beloved craft beer and I've managed to keep up with the growth of the industry over the years. Now I am ready to share my beer journey, extend my knowledge more about the industry and make some new friends along the way..

So yes, the prayers worked, the pressure was applied, and apparently, admissions said, “Come on in, sis.”
