We had a big day yesterday - a trip to get the HCM scans done. The genetic test doesn't work in Siberians for it, so the way to minimize it in the breed is regularly checking cats with a cardiologist.

Boston and Florence are perfectly healthy!

I wouldn't call Florence a terrible mother - after all, cats can completely refuse to feed their babies or even kill them. But she is not the greatest one, for sure 😢

Poor Tamara is mainly neglected. Florence wants to hang out with the adult cats. A few nights ago I woke up to weird sounds and discovered that Florence was breastfeeding... Wonder, who is 6 months old, and totally not her child.

When Tamara cries in her enclosure, Florence calmly observes it from the outside or sometimes meows back.

She still breastfeeds the baby, but whenever she feels like it.

Luckily, Wonder is a nice stepmom. She hangs out with Tamara and gives her a bath.

The downside is that adult cats spread it around way more than the clumping one.

They are driving me crazy. I spent a while playing with all cats last night making Wonder so tired that she could barely walk. Yet, at 5am she was fully recovered and ready to jump around.

These are probably the last quiet days. Tamara still sleeps and eats. Luckily, being the only child, she is very butt-heavy, so it's harder for her to start walking.

I'm still not sure which color she is. The chances based on the patents colors are 75% - seal, 25% - blue.
But on top of that her mom has silver, so she has a 50% chance of being +silver.

At this point I would call her a blue. But I haven't had silver kittens before
What if that's seal+silver?

Her mom decided to keep relocating her... again. Yesterday I came home and discovered her under a sofa. So, I had to confine them in my bedroom. And Florence made me pay by waking me up every 30 minutes 😐
