Malibu Chili Cook-Off

The 43rd annual Malibu Chili Cook-Off®, presented by Aviator Nation, featured the Sixth Annual Johnny Strange Legacy Skate Contest, honoring adventurer Johnny Strange, who became the youngest person to climb the Seven Summits at 17. Each year, the skate community gathers to celebrate his legacy and adventurous spirit. Festivalgoers also voted for their favorite chili, enjoyed dishes from local chefs, and experienced live music from G. Love and Hendrix Frankenreiter, along with carnival rides and games. Tomorrow at 4 p.m., the official winners of the meat, vegan, and People's Choice categories will be announced in the Town & Country Lounge, with the results shared at 7 p.m....

Rock Star Energy 2026 Open ( Recap )

The night before, it was hard for me to fall asleep, but as soon as I opened my eyes and opened them, it was time to get up and rush over to the airport. The flight went by fast because I sat between two girls with whom I had connections. One of them knew my co-worker, and the other was Andy Anderson’s friend. By simply striking up a conversation with someone, you may find a connection that could be the start of a lifelong friendship. A couple of hours later, I arrived in Portland....

For years, skateboarders have heard the same question: “When are you going to grow out of it?” Maybe that’s the wrong question. A viral claim says people who hold onto their “skater phase” may be more intelligent than the average person.
